Volker Bachle
OWNER
After completing his training as a draftsman in mechanical engineering in Germany working for Linck in Oberkirch Black Forest , Volker moved to South Africa in 1985. He worked for Nukor Sawmilling until 1992, gaining valuable industry experience before founding Wood Industry Supplies in 1993. With a strong technical foundation and decades of industry expertise, Volker has built the company on a commitment to quality, reliability and exceptional customer service.
Chris Bachle
MANAGER
Chris joined Wood Industry Supplies in 2024 and contributes across both office operations and machine work, bringing adaptability, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic to the team. Currently pursuing a BCom in Business Management and Marketing Science, Chris combines hands-on technical experience with developing expertise in business and marketing. This unique skill set, together with a proactive and motivated approach, strengthens daily operations while adding valuable insight to the company’s long-term growth and strategy.
Lizelle Schaefer
Head of Administration
With a strong background in administration and sales, Lizelle joined Wood Industry Supplies in April 2021. She brings a unique blend of organizational excellence and a personal, people-first approach—ensuring every client feels heard, supported, and valued. Whether managing day-to-day office operations or assisting on the sales front, Lizelle is dedicated to making a positive impact through reliability, empathy, and clear communication. Her passion for people, commitment to building lasting client relationships, and belief in open communication are the driving forces behind everything she does.
